Poundland deletes very cheeky advert for chocolate fingers

Poundland have released a very cheeky advert to plug chocolate fingers.

The bargain retailer is selling a box of the Cadbury's treat for £1 and decided to advertise the fact with a crude joke.

In the background of the advert is a woman in an intense state of pleasure - reports Mirror Online.

Beneath her face is a box of Cadbury Dairy Milk fingers which promise 20% extra free.

The caption reads: "For a friend who loves a good finger!"

The post has since been deleted, with Poundland tweeting: "We hear things get even more talked about when you take them down...!"

A spokesperson for Poundland said: “At this time of year, giving our customers a laugh is our (all-female) social media team’s only job as Poundland fills the nation’s stockings.”

The advert is not the first time Poundland has cast a wry smile across the Great British public's faces.

In October the chain announced that it was giving away invisibility cloaks for free.

Poundland trading director Tim Bettley said: "We intended to trial this item last year, but couldn’t find it in the distribution centre.

"But now we’ve found it, we think our customers will see the value, if not the cloak.”

Poundland has also helped those wanting to get engaged but who want to avoid splashing too much cash.

It released the 'Bling Ring' series consisting of four pieces; three silver coloured rings with a faux diamond, faux ruby and faux topaz stone, and one gold coloured ring option.
