According to the Washington Times, JK Rowling's tales about the boy wizard top the request list for the camp's 520 al-Qaida and Taliban suspects, followed by Agatha Christie whodunits. ""We've got a few who are kind of hooked on it," said 'Lori', the civilian contractor who oversees the detention centre's library.
The library at Camp Delta has over 800 books but - to put Rowling's success into perspective - it is the centre's 2000 or so copies of the Koran that are in most demand. "After a period of time, they start to fall apart because they read them constantly," Lori said.
