Nottingham City Transport bus drivers mull pay offer with potential for strike

Nottingham City Transport bus drivers are currently balloting over a pay offer which could lead to potential strike actions.

The company, which runs services across the city, has confirmed pay negotiations are underway between themselves and Unite, the workers' union representing its drivers.

Nottinghamshire Live understands a rejection of this pay offer could lead to potential strike action.

The result of the ballot, which is ongoing, has not yet been confirmed.

A spokesman for Nottingham City Transport said: "We are in pay negotiations, as we typically are at this time of year, and drivers are currently balloting on whether to accept an offer that’s been reached between NCT and Unite as part of those negotiations."

It comes after a strike took place involving workers from NET tram staff after the GMB Union rejected a revised pay offer from the company.

The disruption took place on Friday, November 5, into November 6, with no services running during that time - another 24 hour strike is planned for Tuesday, November 23.
