Potential Eagles draft prospect Marquise Brown to miss Combine and Pro Day after foot surgery

The Philadelphia Eagles have a need at the skill position and one of the college football’s brightest stars could essentially fall right into their lap, after previously being mentioned as a top 15 prospect. According to Adam Schefter, Oklahoma star wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown will miss the NFL Combine and his pro day after suffering a lisfranc injury.

Brown suffered a foot injury on Dec. 1 during the Big 12 Championship Game. The All-American was able to play through the injury in the Orange Bowl but did not record a catch and did not finish the ball game. Brown could actually fall to the Eagles pick at No. 25 overall or even further depending on his prognosis.

Eagles senior director of player personnel Tom Donahoe was in attendance for Brown’s performance against West Virginia where he had 11 receptions for 243 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles desperately need a deep threat, and Brown averaged 18.3 yards per reception in college.
