Potential Cardinals OL target Billy Turner to sign with Packers

The Arizona Cardinals have not agreed to sign any offensive linemen yet in free agency but one of their players of interest is reportedly off the market. They had interest in Billy Turner, who played the last two full seasons and part of a third for the Denver Broncos, but he is going to sign elsewhere.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, he will sign with the Green Bay Packers, who have been big players in free agency in the legal tampering period.

He is getting solid money, too, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Turner had connections with the Cardinals. Arizona’s defensive coordinator is Vance Joseph, who was the head coach for Denver the last two seasons. Turner’s position coach with the Broncos, Sean Kugler, is now the offensive line coach for Arizona.

However, he will not rejoin them as he heads to the Packers.

The Cardinals hope to upgrade their offensive line in the offseason. They have not been connected to any free agent lineman other than Turner since the legal tampering period began.
