Potential Cardinals milestones in Week 6 vs. Falcons

The Arizona Cardinals hope to win their second game in a row Sunday afternoon and defeat the Atlanta Falcons. In addition to a win, there are several player milestones that can be achieved.

What are they?

Larry Fitzgerald

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

As always, Fitzgerald can extend his streak of consecutive games with a reception. But this week he will not climb any all-time list. However, if he gets 100 receiving yards, it will be the 50th such game in his career in the regular season.

Terrell Suggs

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

Suggs is officially questionable for the game after missing all week in practice with a back injury. However, if he plays, with one sack, he will move into 11th place alone on the NFL’s all-time list for career sacks. His next sack will be No. 137. With two sacks, Suggs would move past Hall of Famers John Randle and Richard Dent into ninth place.

Chandler Jones

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

If he has one sack against the Falcons, Jones will move back Eric Swann for sixth place on the franchise all-time list for sacks.

With 12 completions, he will set an NFL record for completions in a player’s first six career games. He would have 138.

If he has at least 20 completed passes, he will be the first player in NFL history to have 20 or more completions in his first six career games.

If he has a rushing touchdown, he would be the first rookie QB in team history with three or more rushing touchdowns in a season. It would be the third straight game he has one, which would make him the sixth QB in team history to do so and first since Jake Plummer.

With 252 passing yards, Murray will pass Lamar McHan and Neil Lomax into fourth place in team history for passing yards by a rookie.

David Johnson

With any touchdown against the Falcons, Johnson will set a new franchise record for touchdowns in a player’s first five seasons. He is currently tied with Larry Fitzgerald with 46.

With a rushing touchdown, he will tie John David Crow for third place all-time in franchise history with 33 rushing TDs.
