It’s Week 10 in college football and we have even more exciting prospects to watch.
I have identified over 200 prospects for the 2020 draft that I believe could be potential fits for the Kansas City Chiefs. I’ll be releasing mini scouting reports on these prospects in random groups of four up until the draft.
Check out the latest group of prospects down below:

Wake Forest DE Carlos Basham Jr.
Basham is a 275-pound defensive end that moves effortlessly. If you told me that he was much lighter than his listed weight, I wouldn’t bat an eye given how quick he is. At 6-foot-5, Basham uses his length well to create leverage mismatches. He’s exceptional when asked to get skinny and find a lane to the quarterback.
Basham is only a redshirt Junior but has been a very productive player for the Demon Deacons. He’s accumulated 32 total tackles, 5.5 sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss on the year. Those numbers have nearly exceeded his season totals for 2018 and Wake Forest still has five games left on their schedule.
The Chiefs’ evaluators will love Basham for his effort. He has a non-stop motor and is always around the football because of it. At the same time, I can see them poking some holes in his game. One spot where he needs to improve is staying true to his assignment. He’s prone to abandoning contain in favor of trying to make a play. He might be able to get away with that type of thing in college ball but coaches won’t stand for it in the NFL.

UCF OG Parker Boudreaux
Boudreaux is a redshirt Junior who is flying under the radar right now in terms of the 2020 NFL draft. He transferred to UCF following a redshirt year at Notre Dame. As a redshirt sophomore in 2018, he mixed in on offense and special teams.
What is abundantly clear is that Boudreaux is a guy who really took advantage of the weight room this offseason. He’s looked strong at the point of attack and you can tell that he’s worked really hard to improve his game. That work has helped him earn a starting position on the UCF offensive line.
His work in the run game really has been flashing lately. He gets a ton of movement off the line of scrimmage, and when he gets to the second level, linebackers have a tough time getting away from him. He brings the same type of energy to his play in pass protection, with a really strong punch and active hand-fighting.
I wouldn’t be shocked to see Boudreaux return to UCF for his redshirt senior season just to get more experience under his belt. However, if he came out for the draft, the Chiefs should definitely have him on their radar.

Ohio State DT Davon Hamilton
Hamilton is a long-armed defensive tackle that’s often overlooked along the Ohio State defensive line. A lot of that has to do with Chase Young being an elite talent. However, when you look at some of the performances that Hamilton has put up this season it’s hard not to come away impressed.
On the season, Hamilton has accumulated 14 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack and one fumble recovery. It’s less about stat production with him and more about how disruptive he’s been in the run game and the passing game. Even when he’s not making the play he’s impacting it. He also has won against some impressive talent. For instance, he more than held his own against Wisconsin’s Tyler Biadasz, who is widely considered one of the best centers in college football.
Hamilton isn’t without his questions, he’ll only have one year as a starter for the Buckeyes. Despite over 40 games of playing experience since his Freshman year, there will be concerns about whether his 2019 season was a flash in the pan or if that type of play can be sustained.

Illinois LB Dele Harding
Harding is one of the senior leaders for the Illini defense. All of his hard work during some bleak seasons with Illinois is finally paying off. His performance against the Wisconsin Badgers in Week 8 was extremely impressive, including several run stops against star RB Jonathan Taylor. He helped lead the Illini to their first win over an opponent ranked in the top 10 since 2007.
Not only has Harding been the leading tackler in the Big Ten this season, averaging over 11 tackles per game, but he’s also had a nose for the football. He’s accumulated 6.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions including one returned for a touchdown, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble on the season.
The Kansas City Chiefs have a lot of work to do when it comes to their linebacker corps. With a pair of players scheduled to become free agents following the 2019 season, look for them to add another player at the position during the draft.
