Pot Noodle urgent recall as Food Standards Agency issue warning

Unilever have been forced to recall a batch of Pot Noodles over allergy fears.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) advised the urgent recall has been issued 'because of undeclared celery and mustard', ingredients included in the recipe but not mentioned on the label.

Anyone with an allergy to celery or mustard could be affected by the beef and tomato flavoured noodle snack.

The FSA say: "Unilever is recalling one batch of Pot Noodle Beef & Tomato because it contains celery and mustard which are not mentioned on the label.

"This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to celery and/or mustard.

"Unilever is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

"The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.

"If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to celery and/or mustard, do not eat it. Instead, contact the Unilever careline."
