Postman leaves people in stitches after noticing neighbours share rude surnames

A postman has left people gobsmacked after sharing two cheeky surnames that he spotted during his rounds. In a brilliant twist of fate, the postie stumbled across not one but two rude names in the same area - both of which are hilarious in their own right. But the joke gets even better when you realise the pair are next-door neighbours, and now there are calls for the duo to get married.

Shocked by the discovery, the postman shared the news on Reddit, to the amusement of many. And the joke catapulted from there, as people were keen to join in with the fun.

Posting to CasualUK as tastymelonpiece, the worker claimed: "I'm a postie and today I found out that on my round there's a Miss D**k who lives next door to a Mr Cumming."

After adding such a title, his post briefly added: "There is no punchline." And who can blame him? After all, how do you follow that up?

Reddit users were delighted by his post and so quick to forgive the lack of a punchline.

"With names like that who needs a punchline," one person wrote.

Several people also called for the pair to get together.

"You’d like to think they fall in love, get married and hyphenate their surnames," read a popular comment.

Someone else agreed: "Oh, if they got married and hyphenated…"

Another jokester said: "I hope on your rounds you always take care of D**k before Cumming."

And the postman replied: "Well her house is numerically before his so..."

However, some people also expressed sympathy for the pair.

"I feel that poor lady had a difficult time at school," someone thought.

"I do feel guilty joking," admitted the postman. "It's definitely 1000x funnier that they're neighbours."
