A guest who stayed at Bannisters by the Sea from July 31 to August 2 has tested positive for COVID-19.
The man's positive test was confirmed on Friday.
NSW Health contacted the management of the Mollymook-based resort and restaurant Friday afternoon to inform them of the positive test.
The restaurant management is currently working with NSW Health to further investigate the matter and will take the necessary precautions as they undergo contact tracing.
Management says it will adhere and follow all directions given to it by NSW Health.

At this stage the decision has been made to close the pool bar and Rick Stein restaurant for the weekend until all Bannister by the Sea staff who were in direct contact with the guest get tested.
None of the staff members have shown any symptoms.
In response, people can go to the Ulladulla COVID-19 clinic, in the South Street carpark, without having to make an appointment if they have symptoms.
The clinic, normally closes at 1pm on Saturdays, but will be open longer if required by NSW Health.
The messages is to continue to social distance, wash hands, wear a mask.
