Postecoglou, who has been widely criticised at times south of the border, now only needs to negotiate a trip to the Arctic Circle for his side to get a shot at Europa League glory.
Heading to Norway 3-1 up in the tie, Spurs will be confident of coming through unscathed.
The former Celtic boss may remain wary, though, given his old side lost 2-0 away at Bodo in 2022, and 5-1 on aggregate, under his watch.
Should Spurs make it to this year's final in Bilbao, it appears likely they will take on fellow English Premier League outfit Manchester United, whom they have defeated both home and away this season.
United defeated Athletic Club 3-0 away from home in their semi-final first leg this evening, with goals coming from Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes.
The Europa League final takes place on Wednesday, May 21, at San Mames.
