Neighbours in Chryston hit the jackpot as four lucky householders each won £1000 in the People’s Postcode Lottery.
Penzance Way was chosen as the winner in Sunday’s daily draw – giving Monklands a second set of winners in five days after last week’s success for Airdrie players living in Clarkston Drive.
Judie McCourt, an ambassador for the People’s Postcode Lottery, congratulated the Chryston residents and said: “What an amazing way to round off the week – I’m sure the winners will enjoy spending the cash and treat themselves to something special.”

With at least a third of ticket sales going directly to charities, players have raised more than £600 million to date for good causes in Britain and beyond.
Sunday’s draw was promoted on behalf of African Parks, which has received £4.3 million in postcode lottery funding to manage and restore national parks in Africa.
