Diners hoping to take advantage of the new Eat Out to Help Out scheme throughout August can now check what restaurants will be participating - including small, independent chains across the UK.
The Treasury has launched a new postcode checker to help diners locate the restaurants and pubs that will be offering the new meal deal initiative from August 3.
The scheme was first unveiled by chancellor Rishi Sunak on July 9, alongside a six month VAT cut on days out, staycations and takeaways.
He said so far, 32,000 restaurants, pubs and cafés have signed up to the discount.
The scheme will give diners get 50% off meals and non-alcoholic drinks, up to £10 a head, in restaurants, cafés and pubs and from August 3 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
So far, McDonald's, Wagamama and Nando's have signed up - but it's not just major chains that will be offering the discount.

The Eat Out to Help Out restaurant finder is available on the GOV.uk website.
To find places near you offering the discount, simply enter your postcode and the webpage will bring up nearby businesses.
"To encourage people to safely return to eating out at restaurants, the Government’s new eat out to help out discount scheme will provide a 50% reduction for sit-down meals from Monday to Wednesday every week throughout August 2020," Chancellor Rishi Sunak said.

In total, it will be valid at 129,000 cafés, restaurants and pubs across the UK and equate to 50% off, up to a max discount of £10 per head.
Sunak said the move will help protect 1.8million jobs, by incentivising people to return to the high street.

However, it won't include alcohol, the Treasury said.

Participating establishments will be fully reimbursed for the 50% discount and will be able to apply for the cash via a soon-to-launch online portal.
The scheme follows a temporary cut to VAT encourage consumers to make the most of the hospitality sector this summer.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak has slashed value added tax from 20% to 5% for six months, with food and non-alcoholic drinks also included.
He said the move will "get the sectors moving and protect jobs" as the Government prepares to close the furlough scheme in October.
The cut will run until January 12, 2021 and will include takeaways and meals out as well as hotel, B&B and campsite stays.
However, it will only apply where businesses decide to pass the discount on.
In some cases, it means customers may be able to benefit from both the VAT discount and Eat Out to Help Out.
For example, you can get a quarter of Peri Peri chicken from Nando's for £1.85 in August after the South African chicken chain decided to pass on its VAT cut to customers.
Meanwhile, Costa Coffee will be serving hot drinks from 32p next month if you're using a reusable cup.
