Postal services have been disrupted after a member of staff at a Royal Mail delivery office tested positive for coronavirus.
While the delivery office in Highbury Road, Highbury Vale, remains open, numerous staff members are having to self-isolate due to a colleague testing positive for the virus.
Postal services around the area, including Bulwell and Highbury Vale, may therefore be affected due to staff levels.
Currently anyone identified as a close contact of a positive test must self-isolate, with a message coming through via the NHS Covid-19 mobile app in typical cases.
These rules are set to change from August 16, when those who are double jabbed will no longer have to isolate if a PCR test comes back with a negative result.
In the meantime, however, self-isolation rules still apply to all.
A Royal Mail spokeswoman said: “The health and safety of our colleagues and our customers is our number one priority at Royal Mail.
"A number of colleagues are self-isolating at the Bulwell Delivery Office following a positive case of Covid-19. We wish our colleagues a speedy recovery.
The impact on staffing levels may result in some disruption to services and we apologise to any impacted customers in advance.
"We are working hard to restore normal service levels as quickly as possible. We remain grateful to all our customers in these areas for their patience and understanding.
"If anyone has any concern about their mail please contact customer services.“
