A Wirral Post Office will close for 26 days to allow ‘extensive building work’ to take place at the branch.
Leasowe Post Office, based inside One Stop, on 115 Reeds Lane, will undergo the temporary closure between Friday, December 31, at 5.30pm and Thursday, January 27, at 9am.
The overall refit at the branch is set to take around eight weeks to complete.

While Leasowe Post Office is closed, customers can access Post Office services from nearby branches.
One such branch is Moreton Post Office, at 6 Chadwick Street, while Chapel Hill Road Post Office, at 69-71 Chapelhill Road, is also available.
While the temporary closure will cause some disruption, it is far less than Post Office customers in Birkenhead have had to suffer this year.
The town centre branch was shut down on June 5, as the WH Smith store in which it was located closed.
Birkenhead town centre was then without a Post Office for more than five months, until a temporary branch opened on 6 Princes Pavement in the Grange Precinct in November.
Speaking about the refit set to take place at the Leasowe branch, Daniel Rooney, the Post Office's partner account manager, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work.
“The safety of our customers is paramount, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it will be necessary for the service to close temporarily.”
