Post Office near Mansfield targeted by 4 people wearing balaclavas

Police are investigating after four people wearing balaclavas broke into a Post Office in Nottinghamshire.

Officers were called to High Street in Warsop, Mansfield, at around 12.15am on Tuesday morning (July 28) following reports of the incident.

Nottinghamshire Police say the group arrived at the Post Office in a small black car, before breaking glass on the building's front door and entering.

It is thought the group left in the same car, and Nottinghamshire Police say nothing was taken from the branch.

Inspector Kylie Davies is leading the investigation for Nottinghamshire Police.

He said: “We are exploring a number of lines of enquiry in connection with the break in but we are now appealing for anyone with any information to get in touch with us as soon possible.

“Burglary can have a devastating impact on businesses and we will do everything we can to find who is responsible for this.”

If you have any information that could aid officers in their investigation, please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 17 of July 28, 2020.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting the same crime reference number.
