Post Malone Is Heading To Australia For Strummingbird ’26, So Can We Get A Yee-haw In The Chat?

Who’s ready to cry while singing “I Fall Apart” in the mosh while wearing op-shop cowboy boots? ‘Cos you darn tootin’ bet I will be.

Modern country music festival, Strummingbird, is back and this year’s lineup is more stacked than hay in a horse shed.

Pulling up to Ballarat, Newcastle and the Sunshine Coast this October, you can expect good tunes, cowboy hats, POST MALONE and of course, some line dancing.

The special-priced presale tickets are dropping on May 13, so make sure you grab yours for that sweet low price before the general public tickets go up on May 14. This is one epic event you won’t wanna miss (and a great excuse to plan a road trip), so dust off your cowboy hat and keep reading.

We’ve got everything you need to know about Strummingbird 26, so it doesn’t look like this is your first rodeo.

The headliners

Besides Grammy-nominated artist, Post freakin’ Malone (I’m still not over this, I hope he plays “Circles”), there are so many other incredible artists in this year’s lineup — so prepare yourself for the name drop sequence of the century.

Accompanying Mr Malone is multi-platinum American country artist Bailey Zimmerman — for non-country fans, this is like having Beethoven and Mozart resurrect and play their symphonies back to back. Having collabed with major country artists such as Aussie favourite, Luke Combs, Zimmerman is also extremely well known for his cover of “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus, which I personally would pay big bucks to see him do live (apologies in advance to the ears of anyone standing within 5 meters of me if this happens).

They’ll be joined by country music juggernauts Cooper Alan, Stella Lefty and Dexter & The Moonrocks, who are all responsible for the recent revival of the genre in younger audiences, securing songs in the Billboard Top 100.

They’re also bringing you homegrown talent like the charismatic Brad Cox, as well as international icon Cam, who’s credited on Beyoncé’s Grammy award-winning album, Cowboy Carter.

With so many more big names on the list, each festival can also expect an exclusive act, with Ballarat being graced by the serenades of Lewis Love, Newcastle empowered by songstress Loren Ryan, and the Sunshine Coast slappin’ knees to Sammy White.

But once again and most importantly, all dates will be getting to see Post Malone, (did I mention I love Post Malone?) the man who gave us “Sunflower”, the greatest song ever made. Nuff said. Fight me on it.

The tickets

Presale tickets drop on May 13th, but if you miss that, all remaining tickets will go on sale the following day (May 14). Though I won’t blame you guys for having a bit of ticket panic, ‘cos seeing Posty live IS that serious.

But if you’re a real serious cowboy like me, you’ll also be lookin’ at them sweet, sweet add-ons.

The Sittin’ Pretty upgrade will give you access to tiered seating overlooking the main arena, ‘cos heaven knows I haven’t broken in my boots yet and will need to sit down at some point. This one is honestly clutch for a jam-packed day like this.

The Shotgun Fast Pass upgrade is for all my city-slickers who hate waiting in line. This one will get you into all the express lanes like entry, bars, merch stand and, most importantly, the toilet.

The next package is where things start to get a bit Yellowstone-coded. The Sweet Spot VIP upgrade will have you feeling like the belle of the ball, with shaded seating, a cloak-room to hang your hat, photobooths, premium toilets and more.

But if you really wanna treat yourself, there’s the big boy upgrade: Bells & Whistles. As the name implies, you’ll get just about every perk imaginable, including exclusive VIP merch and access to VIP only areas. Basically, it’ll feel like being Dolly Parton at Dollywood, if you catch my drift.

See ya there, cowboys

So grab your chaps and saddles and get ready for the country music festival of your ranch-loving dreams. Strummingbird is hitting Ballarat on October 10, Newcastle on October 17 and Sunshine Coast on October 18, so mark your calendars and get ready to see Post Malone live.
