Covid infections have increased in three areas of the Liverpool City Region - but positive tests dropped overall in the Liverpool City Region.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, Halton, Wirral and Sefton recorded rises in positive covid tests.

Halton saw 425 positive tests in the week ending August 19 - 38 more cases than the previous seven days.
Wirral recorded 959 positive tests in the week ending August 19 - 43 more cases than the previous seven days.
Sefton recorded 845 positive tests in the week ending August 19 - just two more cases than the previous seven days.
This means the week on week percentage changes increased by 10%, 5% and 0.2% respectively.
The Liverpool City Region recorded 5,114 positive tests in the week ending August 19 - 138 fewer cases than the previous seven days.
Positive tests also dropped in Knowsley, Liverpool and St Helens - their week on week percentage changes decreased by 8%, 5%, and 11% respectively.
And positive tests rose in Cheshire West and Chester, Warrington, and West Lancashire.
Infections increased in England. In the week ending August 19, the country had 184,266 coronavirus cases, which is 11,208 more cases than the week before.

Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 1,709 cases in the week ending August 19, which is 97 fewer cases than in the previous week. This meant the week-on-week percentage change decreased by 5%.
The latest infection rate was 341.5 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 425 positive tests over the last week, which is 38 more cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change increased by 10% in the week ending August 19. The latest infection rate is 327.5 cases per 100,000 people.
Knowsley
There was a total of 558 cases in the week ending August 19, which is 50 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 366.0 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases decreased by 8% week on week.
Wirral
There were 959 positive tests in the week ending August 19, which is 43 more cases than in the previous week. Wirral's week-on-week percentage change increased by 5%. The latest infection rate was 295.7 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There were 618 positive tests in the week ending August 19, which is 74 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate was 341.3 cases per 100,000 people. The week-on-week percentage change in St Helens decreased by 11%.
Sefton
There was a total of 845 cases in the week ending August 19, which is two more cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 306.3 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases increased by 0.2% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 5,114 positive tests over in the week ending August 19, which is 138 fewer cases than in the previous week.
This means the week on week percentage change decreased by 3%. The latest infection rate is 300.34 cases per 100,000 people.
West Lancs
West Lancashire recorded 341 coronavirus cases in the week ending August 19, which is 80 more cases than in the previous seven days.
This mean there was a week on week percentage increase of 31% in infections.
The infection rate was 297.83 per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 743 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending August 19, which is 74 more cases than the previous week.
The week on week percentage figure increased by 11%. There was an infection rate of 354.83 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 1,039 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending August 19, which is 114 more cases than the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 302.19 cases per 100,000 people, and there was a week on week percentage increase of 12.3% in cases.
England
In England in the week ending August 19, there was an infection rate of 325.85 per 100,000 people.
The nation recorded 184,266 coronavirus cases, which is 11,208 more cases than in the previous seven days.
There was a week on week percentage increase of 7% in cases.
