One part of the Liverpool City Region has seen a 15% drop in Covid infections.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, Wirral had 7,321 positive covid tests in the seven days ending January 8 - that's 1,336 fewer positive tests than the previous seven days.

So, this means Wirral's week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 15%.
The fall in Wirral's new Covid tests is being repeated in every other local government area of the city region for the second day running.
Infections have also fallen in the combined authority overall, in areas that border the Liverpool City Region, and in England as a whole.
The week-on-week percentage change figure drops in the Liverpool City Region were: 9% in Knowsley; 10% in Liverpool; 10% in Halton; 13% in St Helens; 14% in Sefton; and 15% in Wirral.
In England, there was a fall in positive tests in the week ending January 8. England had 955,670 coronavirus infections, which is 21,265 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 10,384 cases in the week ending January 8, which is 1,131 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 10%.
The latest infection rate was 2,074.8 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 3,032 positive tests over the last week - that's 342 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This means the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 10% in Halton in the week ending January 8.
The latest infection rate is 2,336.6 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 4,258 cases in the week ending January 8, which is 653 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in St Helens is 2,351.3 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 13%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 3,694 cases in the week ending January 8, which is 363 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 2,423.1 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 9%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 5,949 cases in the week ending January 8, which is a 970 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 2,156.2 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases dropped by 14% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 34,638 positive tests over in the week ending January 8, which is 4,795 fewer cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change decreased by 12%. The latest infection rate is 2,034.25 cases per 100,000 people.
West Lancs
West Lancashire recorded 2,485 coronavirus cases in the week ending January 8, which is 195 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant there was a week-on-week percentage figure fell by 7%. The infection rate was 2,170.38 per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 4,421 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 8, which is 434 fewer cases than the previous week.
The week-on-week percentage figure fell by 9%. There was an infection rate of 2,111.30 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 6,632 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 8, which is 861 fewer cases than the previous seven days.
The latest infection rate is 1,928.90 cases per 100,000 people, and there was a week-on-week percentage decrease of 12% in cases.
England
In the week ending January 8, England recorded 955,670 coronavirus cases, which is 21,265 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
There was a week-on-week percentage fall of 2% in cases nationally, and there was an infection rate of 1,689.95 per 100,000 people.
