Posh 'Edinburgh Uni yahs' enrage locals with Tik Tok showing off city flat with chandeliers in every room and a 'phat' terrace

Edinburgh students have gone viral for their take on the capital's posh lifestyle as they tour their digs which boast a "chandelier in every room".

It's a well known fact that Edinburgh attracts well to-do alumni from across the UK - distinguishable by their post codes, accents and paying for pints of Tennent's with a credit card.

Now three girls, thought to attend Edinburgh University, have revealed exactly what their student lifestyle looks like in a Tik Tok video, Edinburgh Live reports.

While most skint students live in grotty, overpriced flats with little furniture, these girls flaunt chandeliers, discarded packets of hummus and a plate warmer as things that "just make sense".

As the girls give a tour of their "Edinburgh student home", they also point out their enormous rooftop terrace, stained glass windows and a fireplace in the traditional Victorian flat.

The clip has since gone viral on Twitter after it was spotted by disgruntled Edinburgh residents.

One Twitter user wrote: "No offence but this Tik Tok made me want to burn Edinburgh Uni to the ground."

She added: "I can't afford to live in the city I was born in whilst uni students can afford plate warmers."

"Did they....did they refer to a terrace as "phat", asked one confused user.

"Garp yar", added another.

One former student said: "EdinburRAH! I knew so many peeps like that when I went there."
