Portsmouth duo Paul Downing and Liam Vincent are both making good progress on their returns from their respective injuries but it is unclear if they will be able to face Bolton Wanderers this weekend.
Wanderers make the journey down to Fratton Park to take on Pompey in League One aiming to return to winning ways in the division.
Wanderers halted a run of three successive losses last time out when they came from behind to claim a point against Gillingham in a 2-2 draw.

John Akinde put the Gills ahead, before Kyle Dempsey doubled the visitors' advantage shortly afterwards, but Wanderers rallied after the break as Dapo Afolayan halved the deficit before Kieran Lee slotted home before the end.
Wanderers are on the road again this weekend and make the journey to the South Coast to take on Danny Cowley's side as 13th take on 16th in League One.
Defenders Downing and Vincent are on the comeback trail from hamstring and shin injury respectively, and though both are mkaing progress, the visit of Wanderers may come too soon for them.
Ellis Harrison (ankle) is slightly behind Downing in terms of recovery after suffering his injury in the same match, while long-term absentees Clark Robertson (hip) and Jayden Reid (knee) are continuing to make gradual progression.
But Cowley is pleased to have no other injury issues at this time.
“We are making progress in that area,” Cowley told HampshireLive.
“The long-termers are making gradual progress which has been good and Paul Downing has been out and back on the grass. Liam Vincent is now on the grass with a ball at his feet, which is great.
“Probably Ellis is a week behind Paul with his ankle. There are no other injury issues which is the main thing.”
