Portobello crash: Police respond to serious crash 'involving cyclist and lorry'

Police have closed a series of roads in Edinburgh after a serious road traffic collision that is reported to have involved a cyclist and a lorry.

Officers in Portobello have redirected traffic and bus services after the crash took place this afternoon (Monday).

At present, Sir Harry Lauder Road is currently closed in both directions, with traffic from Seafield Road being diverted to Craigentinny Avenue.

Lothian Buses have also advised that the Service 124 is now unable to serve Portobello High Street due to the crash and has been diverted via Sir Harry Lauder Road and Milton Road in both directions until further notice.

One eye witness said the incident involved a lorry and cyclist at the set of lights.
