Porto's Iker Casillas hits out at Liverpool's Mohamed Salah after Champions League clash at Anfield

Porto's Iker Casillas was unhappy with Liverpool star Mohamed Salah after his challenge on Danilo in last night's Champions League quarter-final clash.

Jurgen Klopp's side won 2-0 thanks to first-half goals from midfielder Naby Keita and Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino but the Egyptian was lucky to stay on the pitch after his studs up tackle.

World Cup winning goalkeeper Casillas, however, could not hide his frustration after the game and took to social media to hit out at Salah with a post on social media.

In a translation of the message on Twitter the Spaniard said: "I am 100% optimistic! Considering the results of [the previous round] of the Champions League we cannot think that the eliminator is lost.

"[We have] the game in Dragao and we will fight to move to the semi-finals. Thanks to all the Portistas for the support in Liverpool!"

The tweet contained an image of Salah's poor challenge and of the ball hitting Trent Alexander-Arnold's hand in the penalty area.

It was another contentious moment of the quarter-final first leg but after a VAR check it was deemed to be unintentional.

Liverpool will travel to Porto on Wednesday, 17 April as the Reds seek to qualify for the semi-finals.
