Sergio Conceicao believes he should take responsibility for the "shameful disaster" Liverpool inflicted upon his Porto side - and claimed the youth team would have done a better job than his players.
The Reds romped to a 5-1 triumph at the Estadio do Dragao on Tuesday to continue their unbeaten start to the season and take an early grip on their Champions League group.
It was a third successive time Conceicao has been on the end of a heavy home defeat in the competition to Jurgen Klopp's side after losing 5-0 in 2018 and 4-1 the following year.

And the disillusioned Porto boss didn't hold back in his criticism after a nightmare evening for the Portuguese outfit.
"Even with a youth team - who had a game today where they drew with Liverpool - they would certainly do a little better than we did today," said Conceicao after the game.
"But I was the one who didn't get the message across and I was wrong in the starting team, for sure.
“The five goals we conceded are the kind you concede when you are in a relaxed training session and not when you’re playing in the Champions League.
"Too many mistakes in danger areas... everything was bad, but the responsibility is mine."
Porto had gone into the game on the back of a 18-game unbeaten run but were comprehensively outclassed.
And Conceicao added: "If we make concede this many like this in the Champions League, we have to think if the players are willing to take it with the coach they have.
"Now it's about observing what was done, talking to the president to analyse whether the players are really willing to listen to the message and do what we have been doing until today. Today was very bad.
"I certainly didn't get the message across and this shameful disaster happened."
