Porto 'consider alternatives' to Alfredo Morelos as Rangers refuse to budge on transfer fee

Porto are 'considering alternatives' to Alfredo Morelos with Rangers refusing to budge on their asking price, according to a report.

The striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Portuguese giants with his agent reportedly travelling for early talks with the club.

But now they are considering looking elsewhere because they are unwilling to pay the asking price set by Rangers at present, and have other options in mind.

Portuguese outlet A Bola say they are looking to move for Portimonense striker Beto and the club are also in no rush to sign players and are willing to wait until later in the window.

The report states that Rangers won't move on a £10million asking price but it's likely the club will look for much more than that after turning down £16m from Lille last summer.

Morelos is currently on international duty with Colombia at the Copa America and made his tournament debut in a 2-1 defeat to Peru earlier this week.

And it's said that he would need to push through a move for Porto to step up their chase for him but he does have other options on the table.

Morelos has regularly stated that he wants Champions League football and that could be on the cards with the Ibrox men this season if they get through qualifiers.
