Portland Trail Blazers fans, NBA players react to Jusuf Nurkic’s horrific leg injury

Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic suffered an incredibly serious and brutal leg injury during Monday night’s home game against the Nets.

It was so bad that we don’t want to show it to you. Trust me, it was really, really awful.

The 24-year-old big man suffered the injury while trying to tip in a shot during the second overtime. He immediately writhed around in pain as medical staff rushed to his side.

While he was down on the floor, the entire stadium reacted by immediately chanting his name, knowing how bad the injury was and showing an incredible amount of support for a player that is loved in Portland:

Terry Stotts says Nurkic is at a local area hospital and doesn’t have much to say from there. Calls it “devastating” and described the locker room at “quiet.” Blazers clinched a playoff spot tonight by the way.
