Portfolio of industrial units sold in £4.2 million deal

Eight industrial units in Edinburgh have been sold to a property investor in a £4.2m deal.

The fully let units at the Forth Industrial Estate have been bought by Stenprop from Granton Holdings. The units generate rent of £294,700, which equates to an average rent of £7.40 per sq ft.

The acquisitions were part of deals struck by Stenprop to buy 100 industrial units in five separate transactions across the UK for £16.7 million. Other sites are in Sheffield, Doncaster, Middlesbrough and Deeside.

Julian Carey, Stenprop's executive property director, said: "These properties are all purpose-built multi-let industrial, which meet our acquisition criteria in terms of location and returns.  We look forward to rolling out our Industrials operating platform on these estates. We have a number of other similar acquisitions under review, which we hope to complete in the coming months."
