Police are currently in attendance at a security alert on a Co Armagh Street.
Residents living in Glanroy Avenue in Portadown have been evacuated this afternoon following the discovery of a suspicious object.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Glanroy Avenue is closed and a number of homes in the area have been evacuated.
"There are no further details at present."
Meanwhile, a man suffered stab wounds to the neck and abdomen during an alleged assault in Ballymena on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the Crebilly Road area at around 1.30 am on June 12 where an alleged altercation broke out between a group of men.
A 22-year-old man was due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates’ Court today (Monday, June 14) charged with a number of offences in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Detectives in Ballymena are appealing for information following a report of an assault that occurred in the Crebilly Road area of the town in the early hours of Saturday 12th June.
"At approximately 1.30am, a report was received of an altercation between two or three men inside a property at Crebilly Road.
"Police attended the property, and discovered a man with injuries including bruising to his face, and stab wounds to his neck and abdomen. He was taken to hospital for medical attention.
"Anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, or who may have any information which could assist detectives in their enquiries, is asked to call 101 quoting reference number 161 of 12/06/21."
