Portadown boss Matthew Tipton to address fans ahead of Linfield game

Portdown boss Matthew Tipton will address supporters ahead of today's game against Linfield.

The Ports take on the champions in a big Irish Premiership clash at Shamrock Park (3pm kick-off).

The Mid Ulster club has always had a close connection with its supporters, and in a new initiative manager Tipton will give fans a brief preview of the game one hour before kick-off.

Tipton will reveal his team in the clubrooms under the home stand at 2.05pm and also give his opinion on the game.

Portadown said on Twitter: "Manager Matthew Tipton, in a new initiative, will address supporters in the clubrooms under the home stand at appox 2:05pm to inform them of his team selection for today's game against Linfield and give a brief match preview.

"Why not join him and hear what he has to say on today's game."

The Ports are still seeking their first win of the season after drawing with Glenavon and losing to Crusaders and Larne.

Linfield have played just once in the Premiership this season due to international call-ups - that was a 2-0 win over Crusaders on the opening weekend.
