Portadown announce venue switch for November fixture

Portadown have announced a change of venue for their Premiership game against Cliftonville next month.

The Ports were scheduled to host the Reds at Shamrock Park on Tuesday, November 2.

But it has now been confirmed the game will be played at Solitude.

That's due to Scotland Under 17s taking on Italy U17s at Shamrock Park on the same evening in a UEFA Under-17 Euros preliminary round fixture.

Portdown added: "We had requested for the Cliftonville fixture to be played at Shamrock Park the following evening, Wednesday 3rd November, however this was rejected by the Premiership Fixtures sub committee.

"Our fixture against Cliftonville on Tuesday 26 March 2022 scheduled at Solitude has been reversed and will now be played at Shamrock Park."
