Port Adelaide dynamo Zak Butters' market value has further increased after collecting his third consecutive best and fairest award.

Butters polled 134 votes to win the club champion award from Mitch Georgiades (118) and captain Connor Rozee (117).

The Victorian-born midfielder is already being courted by rival clubs offering multi-million dollar deals ahead of falling off-contract at the end of the 2026 season.

"I have still got a lot of growth," Butters said when accepting his third John Cahill Medal on Tuesday night.

"Something I'm still working on is my fitness and running and my clearance game.

"I'm trying to work with Connor and Pep (Sam Powell-Pepper) and Drewy (Willem Drew) and a few of the other boys and hopefully help some of these younger boys become better players and better people."

Port finished 13th with nine wins and 15 losses in a disappointing final year under departed head coach Ken Hinkley.

"From the team aspect, this year didn't go to plan," Butters said.

"And it shatters me to not be playing this time of year.

"But there is also a lot of growth in the group from the young boys."

Recruit Joe Richards, in his first season with Port after leaving Collingwood, finished fourth in the award with 84 votes, followed by key defender Aliir Aliir (73 votes).
