Unlucky Port Adelaide playmaker Zak Butters will miss another month of AFL action because of a sprained medial ligament in his right knee.
The 20-year-old landed awkwardly from a marking attempt during the third quarter of the Power's 31-point loss to Melbourne on Thursday night.
It was Butters' first senior appearance since round four after a left ankle syndesmosis injury and surgery to release pressure on a nerve injury in the left knee combined to sideline him for about three months.
He played one match at SANFL level last week to get his touch back.
Scans on Friday confirmed the latest setback, with Port Adelaide declaring Butters "will spend about a month on the sidelines".
There is better news for Power teammate Ryan Burton, who spent a period of the game against Melbourne on the interchange bench because of a groin issue.
The defender had precautionary scans on his groin on Friday but is expected to be available for the clash with St Kilda in round 18.
