Porsche stolen from Nottinghamshire found by police in back garden

Police made an unusual discovery in a back garden in Derbyshire - a stolen Porsche.

The sports car had been stolen from the Nottinghamshire area but was found in Alfreton by Derbyshire Police.

Police said a tracker for the Porsche 911 had been activated, causing them to investigate.

A post on Twitter by Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit said: "Alfreton. Tracker activation for this stolen Porsche from @nottspolice area. Located in a back garden. Recovered for forensic, enquiries ongoing. Two officers deployed already squabbling about who gets the pin badge from @Tracker_UK."
