Porsche AG's Japanese arm launched its car rental service, Porsche Drive, in Tokyo on Friday, it announced Thursday.

According to the company, Porsche Drive is its first official car rental service in Asia.

Customers will need to make a reservation on its website and then visit the Toranomon Hills high-rise complex in Minato Ward, Tokyo, to pick up their car. Six cars, including the Cayman S and 911 Carrera GTS, are available.

Customers will be able to choose from three types of rental periods -- four hours, 24 hours and a weekend from 4 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Monday. The Cayman S, which is the least costly to rent, starts at 37,000 yen for four hours, rising to 47,500 yen for 24 hours and 95,000 yen for a weekend.

After analyzing how the service is utilized in Japan, Porsche aims to expand it to other cities.
