Pornhub to be blocked on millions of phones and computers soon

Pornhub will be blocked from millions of phones, computers and TVs from next year, it has emerged.

The website will no longer be accessible on some devices after streaming giant Roku, which has over 50 million users, revealed plans to close 'non certified' channels.

This will see sites like Pornhub being kicked off the platform.

The block will come into effect in March 2022, Roku said.

A Roku spokesperson told DailyMail.com : "At our annual developer conference in October, we announced the launch of Beta Channels, a new feature that aligns with industry standards and offers a more dynamic and flexible environment for developers to test their channels prior to launching in our public channel store.

"With the launch of the Beta Channels feature, non-certified channels, which have previously been available to support development testing, are no longer necessary and will be removed by March of 2022."

The news comes after gardai warned people about a new porn scam which has left people out of pocket.

The con sees people receiving emails saying intimate pictures of them have been leaked and they need to pay a ransom.

The scam, seen by the Irish Mirror, claims to have the recipient in quite a predicament.

The email attack reads: "If I do not receive Bitcoin, I will send out the video recording to all of your contacts including friends and family and so on.

"It's a non-negotiable offer so please don't waste my time and yours by replying to this message."
