Varieties of popular pork scratching-style snacks are being urgently withdrawn from sale in a wide-raging product recall. The alert has been issued by the Food Standards Agency through a warning on its website that states the products should not be consumed and must be taken off shelves.
Producer Fresher Foods Ltd is recalling several products, the statement warns, reports BirminghamLive.
The products are packed in foil packets and glass jars. They include Openshaws, Pub Original, Awful Posh and Snaffling Pig products items because of fears salmonella may be present in the items.
Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
