Man overboard

Say it ain’t so! Pop punk tykes Blink 182 have axed founder member Tom DeLonge, citing his “disrespectful and ungrateful” behaviour as the reason for the split.

Milton keen?

Footballing disaster Mario Balotelli gatecrashed a Milton Jones gig with his entourage. “He got the wrong venue,” Jones explained. “He was supposed to be at some rapping thing down the road. He left at the interval.”

Out on a limb

The Sundance film we’re most excited to see over here? Finders Keepers, a documentary about a man who finds a mummified leg in a barbecue grill… and the amputee who wants it back. Watch a clip here.

Randy Savage

Dan Savage, author of the most explicit (and best) sexual health column on the planet, Savage Love, is penning a coming-out sitcom. Smut potential: high.

This is how we don’t

Tim Heidecker, of bizarro comedy loons Tim And Eric, has “leaked” Katy Perry’s Super Bowl half-time song, which features awful MIDI keyboards, a Lenny Kravitz spoken-word outro and the lyrics “I’m Katy Perry/ And I’m hairy and scary”. It quite possibly isn’t real.

Let’s Twist again

Failing to realise that steampunk cinema died with Wild Wild West, Edgar Wright is working on an adaptation of Dodge And Twist, a steampunk sequel to Oliver Twist, where Twist and the Artful Dodger are embroiled in a heist to steal the Crown Jewels.
