Popular West End restaurant Otro to close doors permanently due to pandemic

A stylish West End restaurant has become the latest victim of the coronavirus pandemic as it announced this afternoon that it would be closing its doors permanently.

Otro, known for their brasserie-style dishes, made the announcement this afternoon on Instagram, writing:

"It is with a heavy heart that we are making this announcement. Over the last few months we have been working hard behind the scenes to keep Otro operating after lockdown.

"Unfortunately due to reasons beyond our control caused by the Covid-19 outbreak, we have made the difficult decision to close Otro permanently.

"We would like to say a huge thank you to all the great staff that we had a pleasure working with; all the customers who have chosen to visit us and celebrate with us over the years; our fantastic suppliers and the wonderful food bloggers and journalists who have supported us over the years."

Otro's sister restaurant, New Chapter, remains open at Eyre Place and the team behind the eateries have announced that those with gift vouchers for Otro can claim them at the second venue - even if they expired over lockdown.
