A popular town centre pub is closing its doors forever.
Wetherspoons have announced that The Running Horses bar will be closing permanently from November 28.
The bar has been open as a JD Wetherspoons since 2009. The company say there will be no redundancies and all staff will be transferred to other Wetherspoons in the area.

The town centre has a second Wetherspoons, The Glass House, very close to The Running Horses on Market Street, St Helens.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “We can confirm that the final day of trading at The Running Horses will be on Sunday November 28.
“The pub will be closed from Monday November 29.
“There will be no job redundancies as the pub’s staff have been offered jobs at Wetherspoon’s other pub in St Helens as well as the region.
“We appreciate that our staff and customers will be disappointed with the decision.
“On occasion Wetherspoon does sell or close some of its pubs and this is the case here.”
The premises, which are joined to Cineworld cinemas and Nandos, will be empty from November 29.
