Popular St. Enoch Centre café Kimble's suddenly closes to public

A family-run business popular with Glasgow shoppers has suddenly closed.

Kimble’s café and chocolatier has shut with immediate effect.

Owners John and Joyce Kimble thanked staff and customers for their support in a sign posted on the café window.

The business began as a small Belgian chocolate shop in the Centre in 2002.

It continued to expand until 2010, when the business moved into its current location in the Centre’s glass box entrance, overlooking St. Enoch Square and Buchanan Street.

Kimble’s also set up shop in Princes Square.

The café is still fully stocked but now closed to the public.

A sign informing customers of the closure reads: “We are so sorry but Kimble’s is now closed.

“To all our customers we would like to say how much we appreciated your loyalty over the years.

“To our team a great, big thank you for your wonderful support, it was much appreciated.”
