A much-loved Merseyside takeaway has been forced to close after a fire broke out last week.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service was called to Take Home Meals Kitchen on Milton Street, Southport, on Friday.
Two fire engines rushed to the scene at 6.40pm.
A post on Take Home Meals' Facebook page reads: "Unfortunately due to a small fire that occurred at our takeaway we have closed for the time being. Thankfully all staff are safe and we deeply thank everyone for their wishes.
"We apologise for any inconveniences caused by this and will update this page when we reopen. Thank you!"
When fire crews arrived they discovered a fire in the chip shop's kitchen.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a horse reel jet and fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire, and left the shop at 7.32pm.
Well-wishers flocked to social media to give owners their best.
Kelliy Booth said: "Take care and wish you a speedy reopening."
Trish Murphy wrote: "Glad everyone is okay, hopefully you will reopen soon."
