Popular South Liverpool Italian restaurant Et Alia has closed

A popular South Liverpool restaurant officially closed yesterday according to signs placed in its windows.

Et Alia was based on Aigburth Road since it opened in 2013 and has welcomed some of the city's biggest names through its doors including footballer players past and present.

Last month the restaurant closed suddenly however staff reassured customers the closure was due to a refurbishment but the latest announcement confirms the closure will be on a permanent basis.

Issued by the landlord, the sign says: "The Landlord has today re-entered the ground floor of 376-380 Aigburth Road, Liverpool in accordance with the Landlord's power under clause 40 of the Lease.

"As a consequence of the re-entry, the lease is forfeited and the premises have been secured.

"And take notice that no one can lawfully enter the premises unless they have been given authorisation by the Landlord."

The restaurant specialised in contemporary takes on Italian classics such as pizza, pasta and Mediterranean and offered diners a relaxed dining experience.

The ECHO has contacted the Landlord for comment.
