Popular soup brand sold in Irish supermarkets urgently recalled

A popular soup sold in Irish supermarkets has been urgently recalled due to the possible presence of red plastic packaging.

Cully & Sully Thai Chicken soup, which is sold in Tesco and SuperValu, has received a point-of-sale recall notice.

The Food Safety Authority said the brand is recalling the following batches of its Thai Chicken Soup due to the potential presence of plastic:

Batches with a use by date of 16/01/2021 and a Batch Code of Batch 1, Batch 2 and Batch 3 are subject to the notice, as are Batch 1, Batch 2, Batch 3 and Batch 4 of packs with a use by date of 22/01/21.

A notice on the FSAI's website says: "Cully & Sully is recalling the above batches of its Thai Chicken Soup due to the possible presence of red plastic packaging.

"Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batches."
