A new 'smash burger' shop is set to open its first shop in Ilkeston - and it already has rave reviews from customers.
Jay's will open its first shop at 65 Bath Street in the town soon, offering their popular "smash burgers" to the public.
The company is five star rated online and customers are commenting on how much they love their food, with one claiming they ate the "best burger they've ever had" after visiting.
Jay's currently operates a burger delivery service on the popular Ubereats app as well as a collection service at Maltby’s Creative Mill in Station Road, Ilkeston.
Jay's announced on Facebook: "We are so happy to confirm we will be opening our first shop! We will now be located at 65 Bath street, Ilkeston.
"Grand opening to be confirmed shortly. Opening hours to follow.
"We can’t wait to get in! Thank you to everyone who’s helped to make this possible."
Ahead of its expansion, Jay's shared its newest menu with their customers - which includes their signature burgers, loaded fries and special vegan and vegetarian offerings.
The news comes off the back of glowing reviews on their Facebook page, with people full of praise for the handmade smash burgers on offer.
Matt Cooke wrote after having his burger: "First and not the last time I come to Jay's kitchen, the burger was out of this world possibly the best burger I've ever had, the staff were very friendly and the price was very reasonable."
"Best burgers in Ilkeston and Derbyshire by far," said Simon Bailey.
"Top quality and creative."
Another review simply commented: "Wow. The food we have just devoured was disgustingly amazing.
"Served piping hot, obviously handmade and prepared with love. Taste was divine. Our new top favourite"
