A popular Scottish zoo is set to launch a brand-new 'wonderland of spectacular lighting displays' this month.
The Five Sister's Zoo in West Calder near Livingston, will host the series of display lighting, enchanted walkways, illuminated water fountains and musical lighting shows for families to enjoy this autumn.
Described as a fun family event, guests can enjoy toasted marshmallows around the zoo's fire pits and sip on hot drinks as they wander round the displays.
The special nighttime event is set to run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6pm – 9pm, from 9th October – 15th November with tickets (priced at Adult – £12.95, Child – £8.50) able to be booked here.
A spokesperson for the zoo said: "There will be thousands of beautiful lights gently illuminating our animal enclosures and gardens to create, what we believe to be a truly breath-taking experience.
"Guests can also take a stroll through our spectacular life sized animal themed lanterns."
Adding that as well as the marshmallows and hot drinks, food will be on offer from their food fayre, they stated that the safety of guests will be paramount.
They said: "There will be many measure in place to keep our customers, staff and animals safe at this event. Our capacity will be significantly reduced in comparison to similar events held in the past.
"We have increased hand wash and hand sanitising stations, increased food and drink areas to prevent queues, one way systems in some areas and enhanced cleaning throughout the park and toilets."
