A POPULAR Scottish cafe has announced its shock closure after only three years in business.
Grain and Grind revealed it has shut its coffee shop on Old Dumbarton Road in the West End.
Announcing the news on social media, the establishment apologised to punters, while thanking them for their custom over the years.
However, in the post, the eatery also said that something "new and exciting" will be coming to the venue in spring.
It is unknown what the new venture will be or why Grain and Grind have closed their West End location.
Known for their coffee, the firm has another seven eateries across Glasgow and Scotland.
They opened their first shop in Battlefield in the Southside at the beginning of 2018.
Grain and Grind then opened its venue on Old Dumbarton Road three years ago, in early 2022.
Announcing the closure, the beloved venue said: "To all our West End customers we’re really sorry to announce the closure of our Old Dumbarton Road location.
"We really appreciate all your custom these last few years!
"There will however be something new and exciting coming to the location in spring."
"No way," one user responded, adding a crying emoji.
"Sorry to hear this!" a second wrote.
