Popular Scottish band to play 'last live show for a while' at iconic venue

A POPULAR Scottish band are set to host their last two shows for a while at the end of this year, with one of them being a homecoming gig.

Del Amitri have announced that they will host two festive shows, one in Glasgow and another in Edinburgh, before the group takes a break.

Best known for their hits Nothing Ever Happens and Roll to Me, Glasgow indie band Del Amitri have sold over six million albums worldwide.

The rockers will host their Glasgow show just two days before Christmas, on December 23 at the iconic Barrowland Ballroom.

The other show will be held in Edinburgh's Usher Hall on December 22.

In an exciting social media post, the band announced these will be their last live gigs for a while.

They said: "Del Amitri are set to bring 2025 to a close with a pair of Christmas shows in Scotland, returning to their favourite haunts - Edinburgh's Usher Hall on December 22 and Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom on December 23.

"Two nights, two legendary venues, and the band’s last live shows for a while.

"Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 12, at 10am BST."

With five out of their seven studio albums reaching the UK top 10, the band have a loyal fan base.

Tickets for both shows will be available from Friday, September 12, at 10am.
