Popular retro chocolate bar is returning to supermarkets, Mars has announced

Mars Wrigley has announced a popular chocolate bar will be returning this month.

It's back by popular demand after proving to be a smash hit with the British public last year.

In fact, the nutty sweet treat went down so well high-street retailer Morrisons introduced a limit on how many packs a customer could buy, reports Manchester Evening News.

The bar in question is the Marathon chocolate bar.

What's more, for the first time in 30 years fans of the nougat treat will be able to get the Marathon bar in a single bar format.

General Manager at Mars Wrigley UK, David Manzini, said: "At Mars Wrigley we're all about creating better moments through our sweet treats.

"It's clear that after nearly 30 years away, people loved the return of the Marathon bar last year. When the British public speaks, we always aim to deliver!

"It's great that after making chocolate in the UK for nearly 90 years people still love our chocolate!"

The heritage branding is available in Morrisons and McColl’s for a limited time of three months now.

We suggest you're quick though, as over 4 million Marathon bars sold in just four weeks last year.
