Popular restaurant to start selling cold slices of pizza on a Sunday

An Ayrshire restaurant is to start selling cold slices of pizza this weekend.

Pings in Kilmarnock has announced that they'll be trialing the new menu addition this Sunday for the next three weeks.

The popular venue will be doing cold quarter-slices of margherita, peperoni and salt and chilli chicken.

Pings posted on Facebook: "We got talking about how much we love a slice of pizza the morning after. So we thought some of you might like it as much as we do.

"For the next 3 Sundays we are trialing Cold Slice Sundays! From 10.30am 'til sell out

"Grab a cold pizza slice and a can or coffee. Quarter pizzas, cold and ready to be sold. Margherita + Drink £4, pepperoni + drink £4.50, salt and chilli chicken + drink £4.50.

"Sit in or takeway whatcha think?"

Punters have been receptive to the idea with some hailing the 'brilliant idea' as a potential hangover cure.

They said: "Brilliant idea. This will be awesome for those hangover cures."

Another wrote: "I think I'm in love with this place already."

While one person summed up: "Eh... yes from me."
