Popular restaurant forced to close after devastating break-in

A popular Ayrshire restaurant has been forced to close its doors after it was broken into last night.

The Corner House in Kilwinning was raided yesterday evening with bosses left with no option but to close the venue.

Staff at the Buzzworks venue are working tirelessly to bring the building back up to scratch with the aim of reopening tomorrow.

The Corner House posted on Facebook: "Unfortunately, we have had to close The Corner House today (Thursday, October 6), due to a break in last night.

"Our team are working hard to get The Corner House back up and running, and hopefully our doors will open tomorrow morning (Friday, October 7) once again.

"We’ll let you know if anything changes right here on our social channels, so please keep an eye out for any further updates."

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
